For the Birds

A Look At The Suet Bird Feeder
While birds, like all other animals, need to eat all year round, not all of the food supply that birds is reliant on are available all year round. Insects, for example, will go into hibernation during the cold winter months. For our more predatory bird friends, the absence of insects and other animal life is felt most harshly as the birds must make up the missing food source from other areas. (And the birds do so in a begrudging manner!) This is why many birds find the sight of a suet bird feeder to be a very welcome image.

The Platform Bird Feeder
A platform bird feeder is a flat (platform) shape and it can be hung from trees, clotheslines or a multitude of different structures. This allows for maximum flexibility as to where one can place the bird feeder. If one wishes the birds to collect in front of the house, then one can place the bird feeder there. If one wishes the birds collected in the rear of the house, then the bird feeder can be placed there.

Buying a Hummingbird Glass Feeder
Hummingbirds must be the most beautiful birds that could grace your garden. Hummingbirds are special birds and that’s basically why you should get a special feeder for them.
To guide you what to especially look for when buying a glass hummingbird feeder, read on ...

How to Build a Bird Feeder
for the seriously mechanically deficient, one can build a bird feeder with a milk carton. Simply cut the milk carton in half and fill it up with bird seed and VOILA! You have a bird feeder. (Actually, if you fill the other half with bird seed, you’ll end up with two bird feeders) Of course, a milk carton bird feeder looks exceedingly cheesy.
