Year Round Water Garden Fish

Water garden fish can be a great way to turn your ordinary water garden into something extraordinary.  But unfortunately, you cannot just stick any fish into a water garden. There are specific fish that will do better in water gardens than others. You will want to make sure that you buy fish that will have no problem surviving in a water garden environment. This will help to ensure that both you and your fish have a fun experience with the water garden.

The best water garden fish that you can buy is the comet goldfish. They are the best fish because they can tolerate change without any problems at all. This is a very important factor to consider because being that the fish are outside, there may be uncontrollable circumstances, such as a change in weather that may take place. Comet goldfish can also withstand large variations in water quality and water temperature. Even though you will be doing your best to control these factors on your own, there are some things that you cannot control.

Another great water garden fish is the Shubunkin goldfish. Again, they are able to withstand changes in environment without many problems.

Many people also buy Koi. They are a great fish to have in a water garden, but you will definitely need to make sure that you give them enough room to grow. If fed appropriately, Koi can grow up to 36 inches long. If you do not have a large enough water garden this can become a problem. So before you go out and buy Koi as your next water garden fish you will want to measure your garden to make sure you will be able to accommodate their needs.

There are many different water garden fish to choose from. Choosing is a matter of personal preference.
